![]() I also like how the finish wears over time. To me, it causes the guitar to feel more alive than those dipped in plastic. I absolutely love the finish on them. I think it all comes down to preference with them. My experience with any HWY1 is that they're very well-made guitars. Yes, the frets are large and feel somewhat awkward but given some time I think I could get used to it.Any thoughts from current or past HW1 owners? History google chromePickup sounds are also subjective. Medium jumbo is perfect for me (and Goldilocks). I also don't like the feel of vintage frets. I don't like the feel of the jumbo frets at all. Mgi photosuite 4 for dummiesYou should never feel as though you have a lesser guitar because you have a HWY1, because they are amazing. I actually like the old HWY1s before the "upgrade." They had medium jumbo frets, like the American Standard, and the same pickups they had in the 50s and 60s Classic Strats and Teles.If I had it all to do over again, I would've kept my old HWY1 Tele and bought a HWY1 Strat to match it.The current HWY1 Strats are fantastic guitars if you like the feel of the frets and the sound of the pickups.
